2014 Abdou-Salam Ouédraogo fellowship call now open

The Abdou-Salam Ouédraogo Fellowship strengthens the capacity of young forestry scientists (under 40 years of age) in sub-Saharan Africa.

The 2014 Fellowship is targeting research on forest genetic resources aspects of trees relevant to people’s livelihoods.

Applications should contain a research note that addresses a topic within the following priority areas: diversified forest/woodland management, conservation of tree genetic resources, and restoration of forested landscapes.

The Fellowship amounts up to US$ 10,000 and should be completed within 12 months.

Deadline for application is 24 August, 2014.
